Private Universities that offer admission without JAMB are ‘answered prayers’ to Nigerians who have issues with scaling the JAMB hurdle.

JAMB (Joint admissions and matriculations board) is a board that screens prospective students of Nigerian higher institutions. They make sure that the aspirants of Nigerian universities are academically qualified for the type of course that they intend to study at that university.

But in reality, the JAMB screening is not an easy task, so many aspirants fall short of the required cutoff mark, and this strenuous process of admission has done little to cut down the large army of Nigerians who are left out of school each year.

The issue of JAMB cannot be told without mentioning the associated stress of exam anxiety, and the stress of traveling to faraway towns to sit for the exams.

All those issues have been part of the reason JAMB participants’ performances have been below par sometimes, which ultimately leads to a lack of admission as they may not meet the required JAMB cut-off mark for their choice institutions.
