UNIABUJA Admission Requirements 2024 – UTME and Direct Entry

UNIABUJA Admission Requirements are conditions that every candidate that wants to pass the gates of the University of Abuja Gwagwalada as an official student of the school must satisfy. As expected, everybody cannot attend UNIABUJA, so the lucky ones must satisfy the below-listed requirements to stand a chance of pursuing an undergraduate program in a higher institution. The requirements vary between SSCE and Direct Entry candidates, as each group’s requirements for admission are different.

UNIABUJA admission requirements for SSCE candidates

  1. Credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics which must be obtained by a candidate at no more than two (2) sittings. Note: Three (3) credit passes must be in subjects relevant to the degree course applied for. 
  2. Candidates must also get an acceptable score in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, and the Post-UTME screening organized by the University. 

UNIABUJA admission requirements for Direct Entry candidates

  1. For a start, you need to have at least 5 credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) including English and Mathematics not more than two (2) sittings before you can study at UNIABUJA.
  2. As a Direct Entry candidate, you must purchase the Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and UNIABUJA.
  3. You must have chosen the correct JAMB subject combination for your course.
  4. UNIABUJA must be your first choice of Institution.
  5. If you do not participate in the UNIABUJA screening exercise you will not consider for admission.
  6. You must have reached the age of 16 by October this year.
  7. UNIABUJA accepts (First Class Degree, Second Class, and Upper credit) but in related fields.
  8. UNIABUJA also accepts a minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates depending on the course.
  9. In some cases, UNIABUJA accepts JUPEB and IJMB A’level results but you must have a good result before applying.

NB: Successful UNIABUJA Direct Entry aspirants will be given immediate admission into 200 Level into any faculty in the institution. How does that sound?
