Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) is a state-owned university in Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria. Ogun state is the only state in Nigeria with two state universities.

The tertiary institution, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye was established on the 7th of July 1982 and has become a popular choice among Nigerian higher institution aspirants ever since.

New and old students of OOU are expected to be on the school premises on the 24th of October 2024.

Admission requirement for OOU aspirants

Every candidate seeking admission must satisfy the following criteria before they can be considered for admission into OOU.

All Post-UTME candidates must:

  • Have a minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
  • Choose the correct JAMB subject combination for your course.
  • Score at least 160 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to be offered admission into Olabisi Onabanjo University.
  • Have OOU as your First Choice of Institution.
  • Participate in OOU POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission if any for the year.
  • Have reached the age of 16.

As a Direct Entry candidate, you must:

  • Have minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
  • Have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are related to their area of study.
  • Have JUPEB/A’ Level passes in Related subjects.
  • Have a Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields for your course of choice.
  • Purchase the OOU Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And OOU Portal.
  • Have a minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates.

School fees

First of all, every newly admitted student of OOU is mandated to pay an acceptance fee of N60,000 before they can be allowed to process their admission.
