JAMB correction of Data 2024

As humans, we are prone to make mistakes while filling out online forms. That is why JAMB makes it possible for you to make corrections in your data.

Irrespective of the mistake or error you committed while registering your JAMB, there is always hope for you to edit all your errors. Whether the error is in your name, date of birth, local government/state, course, or institution, this article will show you how to make corrections to your JAMB profile.

Requirements for JAMB Correction of Data

You will need some requirements while making changes to your data, so as to stand as proof and evidence that you owe the profile.

• JAMB registration number: this is the first thing that you will be asked so that they can log on to your profile and confirm it’s you through the profile image/pic.
• Email address
• Phone number
• N2,500 (correction fee)
• NIN (National Identification Number) supporting document.

How much is JAMB correction of data?

The standard price shown by JAMB on the platform is N2,500 (Two thousand Five hundred Naira). 

Can I correct my email address?

JAMBites and registrars do make the mistake of omitting or adding any additional letter to the email address. A JAMBite might have an email address of example@gmail.com but during the registration, the registrar might type example@gmail.com. These are 2 different things, and a mistake has been made.

According to the JAMB, there is no way an email address can be corrected or changed.

Always stay attentive while registration is going on.

How to correct your data on JAMB portal

1. Once logged in, you will be taken to the landing page where you will see all available services.
2. Select “Correction of Data”. This is available on the sidebar or on the Home page (Choose Date of Birth, Gender, or Local government of Origin or course/institution pending on what you which to correct)
3. Once selected, the menu item “Course/Institution” will be revealed. Click this.
4. Once you select this service, a Transaction ID is generated for this service. This will be displayed on the confirmation page screen.
5. Review the details displayed on the Confirmation Page. Also, note the Transaction ID displayed in a bold red font. The Transaction ID is useful for all future references concerning the Transaction. A copy of this transaction ID will be sent to your registered email address.
6. Click on the “Continue” button if you wish to pay with your card immediately. If you wish to use other payment channels like ATM, Cash at the Bank, or Quickteller, please note the transaction ID as it will be required.
7. On the Interswitch Payment page, enter your card details and click on the Pay button.
8. The status of your payment will be displayed in the “My Payment Section” An SMS and email containing your unique Transaction Identification and payment status will be sent to you after payment. Click on the Continue button.
9. Once payment is completed, you will be asked to provide the necessary details. The information you are asked to provide will depend on what you are correcting.
10. JAMB will now process your application. If Approved, your details will be changed as requested.
