How to accept admission on JAMB CAPS before deadline in 2024
To validate stress and hardwork after JAMB exams and subsequent post-UTME examinations, you must accept admission on JAMB CAPS.

It is because Nigerian higher institution aspirant will have to check their JAMB CAPS from the day of commencement of the admission exercise for the year, for updates about any admission offers from any of their choice institutions.
Admission processes into Nigerian universities, colleges, and polytechnics are overseen by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB).
This is to ensure transparency and fairness in the admission process. JAMB’s intervention means that no candidate will have the luxury of having admission offers from different institutions anymore.
The era of abandoned admission offers is over, it’s either you accept the admission offer or you reject it. All thanks to JAMB.
How To Accept Admission On JAMB CAPS Portal
1. Go to Portal.jamb.gov.ng
2. Enter your JAMB registered email address and password. After that, tap on ‘Login’.
3. Tap on ‘Check Admission Status’ button.
4. Click on ‘Access my CAPS
5. On the CAPS page, choose ‘Admission Status’ from the left panel.
6. Click on the ‘Search’ button, found in front of your JAMB registration number to access your profile.
7. Choose an option between ‘Accept’ or ‘reject.
8. Accept the admission.
9. Congratulations.
During the period of admission, aspirants are advised to frequent their JAMB CAPS, checking for admission updates. If eventually they are offered admission, they are expected to either accept or reject before a deadline that is fixed by JAMB.
Admission offers that are not accepted or rejected after a period of time will be reversed.
In 2019/2020, JAMB notified aspirants that in any case of admission offered to them by JAMB, they have 48 hours to either accept or reject, or the admission offer will be withdrawn.
This directive hasn’t been followed exactly, because there are reports of admission offers being available for about two weeks on the aspirants’ portal.
However, aspirants are advised to be consistent in checking their JAMB CAPS for their admission status, to be swift in thinking about the admission offer available to them, and to accept it, if they wish to.
Inasmuch as JAMB may not follow up their rule of reversing admission offers after 48 hours. Admission offers will automatically be terminated after the official deadline for admissions into the different tiers of higher institutions.
The admission exercise for 2022 will kick off on 6th August 2022.
